What to Expect
The Claims Supervisor/Team Lead is responsible for coaching and developing a team of 8-10 claims representatives/specialists tasked with the management, investigation, and resolution of claims. This role ensures a high-quality work product while fostering talent development through active involvement in the selection of top talent. The Team Lead promotes a culture of claims customer service excellence, driving commitment to delivering a differentiated customer experience.
What You'll Do
- Leads and develops a team of representatives/specialists to ensure quality, accuracy, and timely resolution of claims, including high-exposure or complex cases
- Continuously develops talent by creating opportunities for direct reports to grow and acquire new skills
- Promotes claims customer service excellence by building empathy and passion for a customer experience that meets or exceeds expectations
- Proactively assists in selecting top talent, delivering ongoing coaching, and recognizing employees to reinforce service excellence behaviors
- Monitors team members' work to ensure reserves are adequately set and customer expectations are surpassed
- Analyzes problematic trends and implements steps to prevent recurrence, escalating issues when necessary
- Promotes a culture focused on identifying process efficiencies to continuously improve work completion
What You'll Bring
- Supervisory, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of legal liability, general insurance policy coverage, and state tort laws
- Ability to perform additional responsibilities as assigned
- Adjuster licensing required
- 5+ years of directly related work experience
- Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent experience
