A technical leader with direct responsibilities over the Distributed Energy Resource Management System (DERMS) which includes DER SCADA, DER forecasting/analytics and DER scheduling/dispatch capabilities to support CPS Energy reliability and market requirements. Responsible for the uptime and accuracy of the DERMS, safety and security issues affecting the DERMS, meeting applicable regulations and standards, and responding to users and stakeholders of other business units in a timely manner. This position is also responsible for collaborating and aligning technical efforts with EDS, ESMO, Corporate Communications, Customer Service, and Enterprise Information Technology to provide the optimal solution for internal and external customers. This position will lead implementations of distribution/DER automation programs and process improvements as part of the EDS, Customer Service, and ESMO Business Plans for Self-Optimizing Grid (SOG) and energy market participation. Responsibilities also include participating in DERMS strategy, overseeing application development, changes, testing (change management), and support the planning for future application upgrades or replacements, timely distribution of real time data, patch management. Minimum Skills
Minimum Knowledge and Abilities
Basic knowledge of fundamental engineering concepts, practices and procedures
Ability to work in a team environment, coordinating with other related areas to complete tasks and projects
Effective interpersonal skills and written communication skills to work with all levels of personnel within the organization
Ability to perform multiple work activities with a minimum of supervision and prioritize workload effectively
Ability to use personal initiative to recognize needs and research skills to solve problems when necessary
Ability to work call duty and occasional unscheduled work in the evenings, weekends, or holidays after experience level permits
Ability to travel occasionally, to off-site work, to seminars, manufacturing plant inspections, etc.
Ability to obtain Professional Engineer License in State of Texas
Proficient in Microsoft Office Package, including word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation software, electronic mail and scheduling Preferred Qualifications

Bachelors of Science degree in an engineering field from an ABET accredited four-year college or university Required Certifications
Working Environment
Work is performed both indoors and outdoors. Operating computer, manual dexterity, talking, hearing, and repetitive motion. Use of personal computing equipment, telephone, multi-functioning printer and calculator.
Employee may potentially be exposed to hazardous chemicals, wet or humid conditions, outdoor weather, noisy and dusty environment.
Ability to travel to and from meetings, training sessions or other business-related events. After hours work may be required. Physical Demands
Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
