Cox Automotive is a seeking a Senior Employee Relations Business Partner to join our team. This is a remote, work-from-home role. Candidates must reside in either the Eastern or Central Time Zones within the United States.

What You'll Do:

In your day to day, you'll serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees, addressing concerns and promoting fair and consistent practices. Here's a closer look at what you'll be doing:

  • Acting as a subject-matter expert in employee relations, offering thoughtful guidance on employee concerns and conducting workplace investigations.
  • Managing assigned cases in our case management system and/or ethics hotline, and documenting investigations in accordance with established processes.
  • Partnering with Employee Relations, people leaders, HR business partners, Legal and other stakeholders to recommend solutions that align with company values and support a healthy workplace.
  • Championing compliance by interpreting company policies and procedures, ensuring consistent application and educating employees and leaders as needed.
  • Monitoring and analyzing trends to identify opportunities to improve employee engagement.
  • Collaborating with HR business partners to support and promote a culture of trust and openness. Supporting legal processes by gathering relevant information related to complaints and charges.


Who You Are:

You're a thoughtful and strategic problem-solver who's comfortable navigating ambiguity - the kind of person people turn to in tough moments. You bring empathy, sound judgment and a strong sense of integrity to everything you do. Here's what else you bring to the table:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in HR, business management or a related discipline and 4 years of relevant work experience. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 2 years of experience; a Ph.D. and up to 1 year of experience; or 8 years of experience in a related field.
  • Proven experience managing all aspects of employee relations, including intake, review and resolution.
  • Advanced knowledge of workplace investigations, union avoidance and state and federal employment laws.
  • Skilled at coaching, facilitation, conflict resolution and influencing leaders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with urgency, sound judgment and discretion in handling sensitive matters.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to understand and engage effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Comfortable analyzing and interpreting data to share insights and identify trends.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time or as needed for investigations, while otherwise working successfully in a fully remote environment.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP).
  • Experience using ServiceNow or other web-based case management systems.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.

USD 79,400.00 - 119,000.00 per year

Compensation:

Compensation includes a base salary of $79,400.00 - $119,000.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Benefits:

The Company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the company's needs, and its obligations; seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year; and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually for their own wellness or that of family members. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
