Job Summary News12 is seeking an experienced Freelance Rights & Clearances Associate to support our team in the review and clearance of long-form documentary content, including general interest and true crime programming. Responsibilities Review final edits of long-form documentaries to identify third-party material requiring clearance including footage, photos, music, and graphics. Research and track rights ownership and usage terms. Request and secure necessary licenses and permissions. Maintain detailed clearance logs and supporting documentation. Work closely with producers, editors, and legal to ensure all deliverables meet industry and network standards. Flag clearance issues early and offer practical, creative solutions. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in the posted location is $37,500.00-$61,607.00 / year. The rate/range provided herein is the anticipated pay at the time of hire, and does not reflect future job opportunity.
