Henry Ford Home Health Care is a comprehensive network of home health products and services that focuses on the complex needs of patients and caregivers. Available programs include chronic care management, joint replacement care, specialty infusion and transplant care, wound, ostomy and continence nursing, and palliative care to name a few. Henry Ford Home Health Care's services are provided by qualified registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, certified wound, ostomy and continence nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech - language pathologists, medical social workers, dietitians, and home health aides.

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Therapy Super is responsible for:



  • The supervision and oversight of assigned Henry Ford Home Health Care Therapy programs, services, and staff.
  • Coordinates services for clients receiving therapy and/or social work services, health care products and other services at home.
  • Responsible for the formulation and recommendation of policies and procedures related to assigned departments and/or programs.
  • Evaluates, assesses, and recommends improvements in department process, programs, and services.
  • May supervise the activity of the department in the manager's/director's absence.


EDUCATION REQUIRED:



  • Bachelor's degree in related field.
  • Master's degree preferred.


EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:



  • Minimum of two (2) years clinical experience along with one (1) year of home health care experience.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • Analytical ability required to evaluate the effectiveness of Home Health Care policies and procedures and to make recommendations for improvement.
  • Verbal/written skills required to effectively present issues, communicate with others and clearly summarize corrective actions required.
  • Interpersonal skills required to provide guidance and supervision and act as resource person to staff.


CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:



  • Current licensure/certification by the State of Michigan as a therapist, medical social worker, or registered nurse with a related background.
