This position provides safe and effective medication delivery for patient care. Participate in drug therapy decision-making with physicians and other medical personnel in an ambulatory setting.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • The Clinical Pharmacist may be responsible for, but are not limited to the following:

    • Provides clinical reviews of medications including injectables and oral with evidence, safety and cost-effective supported decision making
    • Provides in-services and education on medications
    • Patient monitoring for the purpose of evaluating and improving drug utilization and patient compliance, detecting and/or decreasing ADRs, eliminating unnecessary drug use and duplication, optimizing dosing regimens, and screening for therapeutic incompatibilities, drug interactions
    • Coordinates and interprets laboratory monitoring of drug therapy
    • Recommendations of changes in drug therapy based on pertinent information obtained through patient interviews, patient monitoring, review of drug profiles, the patient's medical record and current literature
    • Develops and manages various guidelines and drug treatment protocols in conjunction with physicians and other medical personnel


  • Conducts patient medication histories as pertinent to the patients prescribed therapy
  • Provides patient education on referral from physicians or nurses
  • Participates in collaborative research projects with physicians and other health care personnel on topics such as drug utilization, comparative drug trials, adverse drug reactions, and team delivery of health care
  • Researches and evaluates current literature
  • Prepares necessary medications per physician order or protocol, ensuring the timely initiation of all drug treatments. This will include the screening and processing of orders, and dispensing of all medications including investigational drugs
  • Assists physicians and nurses in the management of acute side effects and emergencies
  • Manages medication shortages
  • Provides support to the infusion team

Required Qualifications:



  • PharmD. Degree
  • Current license to practice pharmacy in the State of Washington


Preferred Qualifications:



  • PGY1 and PGY2 (oncology) Residency or the equivalent experience as Clinical Pharmacist in the area of specialization
  • Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties (BPS) certification in appropriate specialty area


Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $89,900 to $160,600 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
