This Position reports to:

Vice President of Sales,Energy Industrie

In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop an effective sales strategy within the Process Automation Energy Industries US Division and to improve ABB's market penetration and realize growth aspirations. Each day, you will define, plan, lead, and ensure the execution of sales strategy to achieve both qualitative and quantitative sales targets for products, systems, and/or services to ensure sustainable order growth, revenue, profitability, market share, sales productivity, and customer satisfaction. You will also showcase your expertise by leading, developing, and coaching the Sales organization and a team of Account Managers to achieve the sales targets, through high performance.

The work model for the role is: #LI-Hybrid in Houston, TX. The position also requires 50% travel within the Western region territory.

Your Role and Responsibilities:

  • Sets sales targets, defines metrics, and monitors performance to ensure results.

  • Identifies underperformance early and takes proactive corrective actions.

  • Explores new business opportunities and allocates resources for execution.

  • Drives customer satisfaction through survey feedback and follow-up actions.

  • Leads or supports key contract negotiations and pricing strategies.

  • Monitors client financial status and communicates potential risks.

  • Develops and enhances sales processes, tools, and training programs.

  • Builds and mentors high-performing teams through coaching and capability assessments.

Our Team Dynamics: You will join a mature sales team, where you will be able to leverage their strong customer relationships and market knowledge, and help drive a growth culture.

Qualifications for the Role:

  • Experience in a relevant industry required (Power Generation, Oil, Gas and Chemicals markets).

  • 10+ years of experience in sales of process automation or optimization technologies; proven experience in people leadership and complex technical sales.

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline preferred

  • Ability to demonstrate your experience in team leadership, account management and growth initiatives.

  • Possess an enhanced knowledge of SFDC (or equivalent CRMs).

  • You are passionate about leading and developing people to help them grow and succeed.

  • You are at ease communicating at all levels of an organization.

  • Ability to travel 50% within the region
