Responsibilities:



  • Develop and bring up firmware for new 802.11 access point hardware.
  • Design and implement high-performance device drivers for wireless and wired networking.
  • Build system software to collect, analyze, and distribute wireless statistics.
  • Create software to dynamically manage large groups of wireless devices.
  • Collaborate with hardware engineers to define and shape new products.
  • Partner with data analytics teams to build intelligent, adaptive wireless networks.
  • Work closely with customers and product managers to resolve issues and deliver new features.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to create customer value through technical innovation.
  • Develop and bring up firmware for new 802.11 access point hardware.



Minimum Qualifications:



  • A persistent, creative, and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Strong proficiency in C programming.
  • Deep experience with Linux kernel and OS development.
  • Ability to work across the embedded stack: bootloader, device drivers, kernel, and user space.
  • Solid understanding of 802.11/Wi-Fi and wired networking protocols.
  • Strong knowledge of ARM CPU architecture.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • High-level systems languages (e.g., Python, Go).
  • Assembly languages (e.g., ARM, x86).
  • Broadcom or QCA wireless drivers.
  • 802.11ac/ax standards and Wi-Fi fast roaming.
  • Security protocols and secure system design.
  • Collaboration with machine learning and data science teams.

Minimum Salary: $140,800.00

Maximum Salary:$202,400.00

The pay range for this position is expected to be between $140,800.00 and $202,400.00/year; however, the base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position also includes medical benefits, 401(k) eligibility, vacation, sick time, and parental leave. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Juniper's pay range data is provided in accordance with local state pay transparency regulations. Juniper may post different minimum wage ranges for permanent residency petitions pursuant to US Department of Labor requirements.
