Responsibilities
Summary: The Program Supervisor is directly responsible for the day-to-day program operations. This includes but is not limited to maintaining staffing levels; ensuring quality service; establishing and maintaining partnerships with agency personnel, local law enforcement, and community partners; effectively communicating with participants, other staff, and agency personnel and promptly responding to agency requests. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- The Program Supervisor manages the day-to-day job development operation of the program.
- Interprets and administers program policies and procedures.
- The Program Supervisor assists with recruiting, selecting, hiring, training, coaching, and evaluating job development staff.
- Works with agency personnel and management to plan, organize, direct, and coordinate job development services.
- The Program Supervisor implements and maintains systems and techniques to ensure contract compliance.
- Responds to directives from management to ensure conformance to standards.
- The Program Supervisor communicates effectively with all levels of staff and agency personnel.
- Assists in coordination with invoicing and monitoring the program's fiscal expenditures.
- The Program Supervisor maintains staffing activities to ensure quality services.
- Provides oversight to evidence-based interventions such as Assessments, Individual Services, and Cognitive Behavioral Interventions.
- The Program Supervisor monitors assessments and progress to determine appropriate participant placement, fluctuation in needs and goals, and the need for additional services.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BS) degree and two (2) years' experience working with probationers or a high school diploma, or its equivalent and a minimum of six (6) cumulative years of full-time experience serving the criminal justice population. Work experience may be
substituted for academic studies, exchanging one (1) year of work experience in a related field for one (1) year of academic experience; or relevant experience in the criminal justice field. - Documented working knowledge of rehabilitative programs.
- Effectively communicate with participants, program staff, corporate management, and agency personnel.
- Ability to work with public officials.
- Able to react quickly and appropriately in an emergency situation.
- Knowledge of fiscal processes and fundamentals of budget management.
- Logically express thoughts in English, in written and verbal form using correct grammar.
- Ability to interact in a professional manner in both individual and group counseling settings.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work with a team of professionals and have the ability to implement team strategy approaches to work assignments.
- Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department.
