Maersk Ground Freight (MGF) offers transportation services like FTL (Full Truckload), LTL (Less Than Truckload), brokerage, cross-border trucking, groupage, and sortation hubs, connecting Maersk or Customer warehouses or depots or cross-dock/consolidation/deconsolidation facilities through a robust network led by best-in-class operations and technology. This integrated network will service multi-channels like B2B, B2C, B2B2C, e-commerce, direct to store, dropship, returns, and more, leveraging asset-based, asset-light, and non-asset models.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Cartage Manager is accountable for maintaining compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory guidelines. Plan and monitor daily staffing schedules and adjust accordingly to ensure adequate staffing that supports operational demands and business objectives. You are responsible for managing the execution, direction, and coordination of all local transportation matters within the organization, as well as POC for facility maintenance, vehicle repair, and miscellaneous warehouse equipment.

Essential Functions:

  • Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with company's policies and vision
  • Complete Daily and weekly PU & D expenses
  • Manage Independent Contractors
  • Work closely with Sales Team
  • Develop close relationships with vendors
  • Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system
  • Produce reports and statistics regularly (IN/OUT status report, dead stock report etc)
  • Coach and mentor team members in the areas of productivity, quality, safety and Pilot values.
  • Proactively identifying and leading process improvement initiatives and Lean tools
  • Building and executing productivity plans
  • Support all safety programs and OSHA compliance to ensure a safe work environment for all Associates
  • Accurately perform inventory control
  • Monitor maintenance and administrative activities to ensure customer requirements are met in an efficient and appropriate manner
  • Ensured driver safety and compliance while loading in a safe manner and facility requirements are being met
  • Participate in weekly organizational meetings to report and evaluate the quality of service received, and providing solutions for continuous improvement
  • Maintain DPI, DSC, and On-Time Service requirements.

Pay Range:

$80,000-$90,000

*The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
