  • Level 1 Estimated hourly base pay: $27.92 (minimum) - $34.90 (midpoint) - $41.88 (maximum) plus shift differential.
  • Level 2 Estimated hourly base pay: $30.19 (minimum) - $37.74 (midpoint) - $45.29 (maximum) plus shift differential.

Are you ready to make your mark? If you're an Operations Specialist, we have an exciting opportunity for you. This position supports production from a technical standpoint and has a basic understanding of the product being produced in the area. It is the first line of defense for production related issues. The position solves minor manufacturing problems and works with members to implement process and product improvements.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Troubleshoots production issues across many types of machines and solves mechanical and special process (ex. coating) problems.
  • Interprets and Identifies mistakes on various manufacturing documents
  • Develops work instructions and manufacturing documentation.
  • General knowledge of machining, grinding and special processes (ex. coating).
  • Solves problems by finding root cause and implementing corrective actions.
  • Editing and optimizing CNC programs.
  • Understands and follows processes. Identifies areas for improvement.
  • Participates in in 5S/Kaizen Event utilizing six sigma/lean tools.
  • Basic understanding of Woodward Production Systems.
  • Sets priorities for the machining and special processes.
  • Identifies mistakes on various manufacturing documents.
  • Interprets and creates work instructions and manufacturing documentation.

What We Are Looking For

  • Level 1 and 2: High School Diploma or international equivalent required.
  • Level 2: Associates Degree preferred.
  • Level 1: 1 or more years' experience in a manufacturing environment required.
  • Level 2: 2-5 years' experience as an Operations Specialist or similar external role required.
  • Experience running various CNC machines and grinders.
  • Understanding of NC CODE and GD&T Principles.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work effectively with colleagues to achieve goals
  • Written/verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding of six sigma tools and lean principles.
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Computer skills (i.e. Word, PowerPoint, ESPRIT, CREO).
