- Plans, schedules and supervises all of the preventive maintenance activities for recycling and water treatment systems. Responsible for developing, implementing and supervising operator training programs in accordance with operational needs and gaps. The position must collaborate and coordinate with other supervisors and engineers within and outside the department as well as external stakeholders such as OEMs and equipment integrators to meet the training and equipment maintenance goals of the department.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in water treatment, environmental, chemistry or related field with 2+ years of supervisory responsibilities.
- Able to demonstrate competent technical knowledge of plant and system processes.
Required Skills/Competencies:
- Proven strong communication and coordination skills.
- Strong people skills and ability to handle conflicts in a professional manner.
- Proficient use of all MS Office suite programs.
- Demonstrate proficiency with wet chemical processes.
- Wastewater treatment capabilities in manufacturing environment.
- Solid understanding of chemical compatibilities.
- Experience in chemical analyses - both instrumental and wet.
- Proven safe handling and experience of industrial chemicals.
- Proven mechanical skills.
- Good understanding of instrument calibration.
- Demonstrate proficiency with mechanical equipment.
- Proven problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Able to interpret and read basic mechanical engineering drawings.
- Able to develop multi-media driven training material.
- Able to coach and train small and large groups on operational procedures.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Responsible for identifying the operator training gaps and needs by coordinating with operators, shift supervisors and engineering team members.
- Responsible for develop training material for various process activities through coordination with subject matter experts (SMEs).
- Responsible for leading the operator training in association with internal and external SMEs.
- Responsible for developing and executing job qualification program through multiple phases of training, demonstration, evaluation and certification.
- Responsible for maintaining training records.
- Manages the schedule and timely completion of preventive maintenance of all of recycling and water treatment equipment.
- Maintaining all equipment and systems through coordination and in accordance with CMMS process wherever necessary.
- Responsible for executing recycling and water treatment PM program by developing, coordinating and scheduling activities with vendors, plant maintenance and production operators.
- Developing detailed maintenance job plans through CMMS program for PM activities by coordinating with operations and plant maintenance teams.
- Responsible for identifying areas need of PM activity and developing post PM checklists.
- Responsible for tracking individual equipment downtime, cause of downtime and repair cost.
- Developing strategies for minimizing unscheduled equipment downtime caused from equipment failure.
- Responsible for keeping the spare parts list updated for recycling and water treatment equipment.
- Responsible to work with Corporate WW/Recycling Engineering to ensure proper hand off of new or modified WWT/UPW and Recycling systems. Including qualification, work instructions, preventive maintenance and training.

Travel:
Estimated Salary Range:
- $67,400-$96,000 Annually.
US Physical Requirements:
- Will sit, stand or walk short distances for up to the entire duration of a shift.
- Will climb stairs on an occasional basis.
- Will lift, push or pull up to 27 pounds on an occasional basis.
- Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects on a frequent basis.
- 20/40 vision in each eye, with or without correction, is required.
- Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures.
- May reach above shoulder heights and below the waist on a frequent basis.
- May stoop, kneel, or bend, on an occasional basis.
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required (including but not limited to; steel toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, protective jacket or apron and arm guards).
