Tinting Technician

1. Take lens out of tray and clean with Alcohol or soap as required
2. Use clamps to put lenses in various color dyes to achieve desired results
3. Run water over lens after removing from dye
4. Prepares dyes and tint tanks
5. Rejects bad tinted lenses
6. Help routing work in the AR-Preparation room

1. Maintain the machine inside and out
2. Assists Back Side Coat Operator
3. Back Side Coat lenses when needed
4. Help in other areas when needed
5. Maintain trays
6. Cross trains on tasks from other areas of the lab
7. Take inventory of tint supplies
8. Maintain workstation and work areas clean and organized

Physical Requirements

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands to grasp and manipulate. Frequently required to reach with hands and arms and regularly required to walk, stoop, kneel, crawl and/or crouch. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Safety Requirements

• Basic understanding of the Injury and Illness Prevention Program and the Hazard Communication Program
• Closed toe shoes required with heel support
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
• Must wear safety glasses and gloves
