Maintenance Mechanic Technician III

We are currently hiring a Manufacturing Maintenance Technician III

Location: Hoya Vision, 7000 Sunwood Dr NW, Ramsey, MN 55303

Hourly Rate: Minimum $30 per hour + shift differential (see below)

Shift Available:

• Sunday 6:00AM - 12:00PM, Monday to Wednesday 6:00AM - 6:00PM (10% shift differential)
• Sunday 12:00PM - 6:00PM, Monday to Wednesday 6:00AM - 6:00PM (15% shift differential)
• Sunday 6:00PM - 12:00AM, Thursday to Saturday 6:00AM - 6:00PM (20% shift differential)
• Monday 12:00AM - 6:00AM, Thursday to Saturday 6:00AM - 6:00PM (25% shift differential)

What you'll do:

• Monitor and evaluate production equipment to identify and resolve potential issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and calibrations in line with cleanliness, quality, and time standards.
• Troubleshoot complex electromechanical systems to identify root causes of equipment failures.
• Utilize your technical knowledge to mentor and support less experienced technicians.
• Consistently maintain a professional and safety-focused work environment.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required; technical certificate or trade school degree is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience maintaining automated manufacturing equipment. (Experience in the optical industry is a plus but not required.)
• Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to interpret electrical and pneumatic schematics, equipment manuals, and technical documentation.
• Working knowledge of PLC systems, pneumatics, and low/high voltage electrical systems.
• Proficient with basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Word).
• Ability to work on your feet for up to 12 hours per shift and perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, and reaching.
