Overview

CAES Mission Systems, Lancaster, PA is seeking a Senior Program Financial Analyst. In this role, you will be a key team member responsible for program financial planning and analysis on a cornerstone Lancaster program. Your efforts will drive more proactive and sound decision making across the business in support to the Program Management Office (PMO). This position is ideal for those looking to work in a highly visible team environment with opportunities for career growth and development.


Responsibilities

YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead and coordinate the program finance team for an approx $20M program, including:

  • Forecasting, budgeting, and analyzing key program metrics with program team (Orders, Sales, Gross Margin, Shipments, Cash) analysis and reporting to senior leadership
  • Developing baselines and analyzing program estimates at complete (EACs) for Gross Margin adjustments
  • Cultivating and maintaining cross functional partnership with Program Management, Contracts, Procurement, Operations, and Engineering
  • Utilizing an Earned Value Management System (EVM) to track, measure, and analyze program costs, status, and performance
  • Tracking material expenditures from a consolidated bill of material (CBOM) and monitoring production touch labor within IFS or SAP ERP
  • Providing variance analysis and assessing program risks and opportunities
  • Mentoring junior-level analyst by reviewing work products, demonstrating best practices and providing guidance on policies and procedures
  • Supporting special projects and Kaizen events focused on continuous improvement of Finance processes

Qualifications

HOW TO SUCCEED

Minimum:
  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 8 years' relevant experience in a finance or accounting role; or Masters Degree and 5 years of experience in finance or accounting.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency and Intermediate Excel skills (VLOOKUPS, SUMIFS, pivot tables, etc.)
  • This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a "US Person" under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license)
Preferred:
  • 8-10+ years of experience in a finance or accounting role.
  • Previous Defense Industry experience
  • Earned Value Management (EVM) experience
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively interact with Program Managers and across other functional areas
  • Independent self-starter with ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Familiarity with IFS, SAP or other ERP systems
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
  • Location of Lancaster, PA facility preferred, also able to work from Lansdale, PA with occasional travel to Lancaster

Salary Range: Program Finance Analyst IV $98,303.64 - $147,455.47 annually; Program Finance Analyst V $127,568.95 - $197,447.48. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate. It is very unlikely that a candidate would be offered in the top half of the range without significant Defense and EVM experience and Lancaster location.
