WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS ROLE:
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial transactions.
- Assist in the research and analysis of general ledger account variances.
- Maintenance of general ledger system which may involve adding new departments and accounts.
- Development and maintenance of standard recurring Journal Entries.
- Prepare and review assigned month-end account reconciliations accurately and on a timely basis.
- Load ERP system data to OneStream (Corporate consolidation tool).
- Keep control over the fixed asset system by ensuring that all asset additions, disposals and transfers are processed timely and are reconciled to the general ledger.
- Provide proactive analysis and support to the finance team.
- Maintenance of Sarbanes Oxley documentation.
- Coordinate internal and external audit activities.
- Prepare Ad Hoc data requests and project work as requested.
- Responsible for higher level/more complex department deliverables.
- Back-up others as needed on the accounting team to help with workloads and to ensure work is completed timely and accurately.
YOU HAVE:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred. Bachelor's degree in Finance or Business also acceptable with relevant work experience.
- 5+ years accounting experience preferred.
- Proficiency with all Microsoft Office products.
- Experience with SAP or similar operating software package.
- Experience with OneStream & BI tool a plus.
- CPA or CMA preferred, but not required.
- Ability to collaborate with various departments throughout the organization to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
- Experience successfully writing reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
- Experience presenting information and responding to questions from individuals at all levels of the organization.
- The ability to work with and apply mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations with exceptional analytical and problem solving abilities.
- Flexibility in regard to overtime during periods of peak activity.
- A mentality of a team player, a self-starter who is looking to grow professionally, and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
