Massachusetts General Hospital is seeking a highly motivated and talented CT Imaging Engineer to join
our multidisciplinary team dedicated to advancing the next generation of computed tomography (CT) systems.
This position offers a unique opportunity for an engineer of any experience level to contribute to a cuttingedge
research program at the intersection of medical imaging, computational modeling, and machine learning.
This position is ideal for engineers or scientists who are passionate about medical imaging and eager to
grow their expertise in a collaborative research environment. The individual will work closely with senior
investigators and receive direct mentorship while contributing to high-impact research with the potential to influence future clinical practice.

Develop and refine CT simulation and image reconstruction algorithms, integrating physics-based
models with modern computational tools
* Design and train deep learning models for medical image enhancement, reconstruction, or analysis
* Conduct hands-on experiments with novel CT system prototypes and evaluate their performance
* Characterize image quality through phantom scanning, data analysis, and optimization studies
* Collaborate closely with a team of experts, including mentorship from experienced imaging scientists
and engineers
* Contribute to research publications, software development, and potential clinical translation

Education
Bachelor's Degree Computer Science required or Bachelor's Degree Software Engineering required

Experience
Professional experience in software development 3-5 years required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, C#, Python, Ruby, and JavaScript.
- Familiarity with different phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Experience with development tools, version control systems, integrated development environments, and software testing frameworks.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze complex technical issues and propose effective solutions.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with individuals from varied backgrounds.
- Willingness to learn new technologies, programming languages, and frameworks as required.
