About the Role As a Patient Access Representative, you will be the first point of contact for patients and families, playing a vital role in delivering compassionate, efficient, and high-quality care. Whether in the Emergency Department, outpatient clinics, or inpatient admitting, your mission is to create a warm, welcoming environment and ensure a seamless registration experience.
Schedule: Rotating 12-hour shifts, up to 40 hours/week Key Responsibilities Emergency Department * Greet and check in patients arriving via walk-in, ambulance, or helicopter. * Register patients at bedside using portable computers. * Verify and update patient demographics and insurance information in the EMR. * Support Medicare documentation and self-pay processes. Outpatient/Clinic * Efficiently locate and update patient records in the EMR. * Verify insurance and demographic information with high accuracy. * Assist with checkout, follow-up scheduling, and answering service-related questions. Main Admitting/Inpatient * Support services including lab, radiology, surgery, and inpatient admissions. * Travel to inpatient units for bedside registration as needed. What We're Looking For * 2+ years of professional experience * High attention to detail and adaptability in a fast-paced environment * Strong technology skills; EMR experience is a plus *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr.
