Compensation

$103,860.00 USD- $126,940.00 USD Plus Benefits

Job Summary

As a Business Analyst you will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-quality business and technical solutions leveraging construction software applications (e.g. HCSS modules, JD Edwards). You will bridge the gap between business needs and technical implementation to drive continuous improvement and value delivery.

Main Responsibilities
  • Evaluate, implement, and optimize construction software tools (e.g., HCSS modules, JD Edwards).
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements.
  • Translate business needs into clear, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Work with developers and QA to ensure requirements are understood and implemented to produce the desired outcome.
  • Define and track Objectives and Key Results to ensure we are meeting defined outcomes.
  • Analyze existing construction and business workflows to identify gaps and inefficiencies.
  • Recommend and implement technology-based solutions to improve data accuracy, productivity, and reporting.
  • Drive digital transformation initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Act as a liaison between technical teams and end-users in construction, equipment, and safety.
  • Translate complex technical information into user-friendly documentation and training materials.
  • Conduct user training and support change management during technology rollouts.
  • Address customer issues by identifying root causes and working with the team to implement solutions.
  • Support change management and user training efforts related to system implementations.
Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Technical or Business Analyst, preferably in the construction or infrastructure sector.
  • CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional), preferred
  • PMP or CAPM, preferred
  • Agile or Scrum certification, preferred
Professional Skills
  • Construction Software Proficiency: Experience with tools like HCSS modules and JD Edwards.
  • Business Analysis Tools: Familiarity with tools for requirements gathering, process modeling (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart), and documentation.
  • SDLC & Agile Methodologies: Understanding of software development lifecycle and agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Ability to analyze data for insights and performance tracking (e.g., using Excel, Power BI, or SQL).
  • Requirements Gathering & Documentation: Ability to elicit, analyze, and document business and system requirements.
  • Process Optimization: Skill in identifying inefficiencies and recommending improvements.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Investigating issues and proposing sustainable solutions.
  • Objective & Key Results (OKRs): Defining and tracking metrics to measure success.
  • Digital Transformation: Driving initiatives that align technology with business goals.

Physical Requirements
  • Vision: The ability to read and interpret documents and code, often requiring prolonged use of a computer screen.
