Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this senior leader will define and execute a comprehensive pricing strategy that fuels profitability, supports revenue growth, and aligns with our broader corporate objectives. Compensation & Work Environment Details:
- Salary Range: $220,000 - $250,000
- Bonus Target: 25% of annual salary
- Travel: up to 10% of the time
What You'll Do:
- Lead Pricing Strategy: Design and implement an enterprise-wide pricing approach that balances revenue growth, profitability, market competitiveness, and client value.
- Drive Data-Backed Decisions: Leverage advanced analytics to evaluate pricing performance, customer behavior, and margin drivers, transforming insights into action.
- Oversee Pricing Governance: Develop and standardize pricing policies, discount structures, and escalation frameworks that ensure alignment, transparency, and control.
- Collaborate Across the Business: Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Finance teams to integrate pricing into go-to-market strategies, lifecycle planning, and revenue forecasting.
- Lead with Impact: Mentor and support a pricing analyst, fostering a culture of execution, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Support Sales Enablement: Align pricing with value-based selling, contract negotiation, and deal structuring to support front-line success.
- Maximize Tools & Systems: Leverage and improve pricing tools, models, and systems to support automation, scenario planning, and long-term scale.
- Own Key Metrics: Define and monitor KPIs related to pricing compliance, discounting behavior, margin optimization, and pricing win/loss insights, adjusting strategies as needed.
- Champion Change: Lead enterprise-wide pricing transformations and ensure adoption across all functions and levels of the business.
- Govern Rebate Programs & Increases: Oversee rebate calculations and lead the annual pricing increase process, aligning with financial goals and market positioning.
- Board-Level Impact: Deliver monthly pricing and revenue analysis for executive and board-level reporting and decision-making.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience: 10+ years in pricing, revenue management, or financial analysis or commercial strategy, with at least 5+ years in a financial leadership role.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Certifications: Certified Pricing Professional (CPP) is a plus.
- Pricing Expertise: Proven experience with pricing strategies in B2B or B2B2C models, value-based, cost-plus, dynamic pricing.
- Tech Savvy: Fluency in pricing systems and tools; CRM experience (Salesforce preferred); skilled in automation and data analytics.
- Strategic Thinker: Able to align pricing with business strategy, competitive positioning, and customer value proposition.
- Collaborative Leader: A relationship builder who thrives in matrixed environments and cross-functional partnerships.
- Market Insight: Deep understanding of competitive analysis, market research, and customer segmentation in service-driven industries.
