Maersk Ground Freight (MGF) offers transportation services like FTL (Full Truckload), LTL (Less Than Truckload), brokerage, cross-border trucking, groupage, and sortation hubs, connecting Maersk or Customer warehouses or depots or cross-dock/consolidation/deconsolidation facilities through a robust network led by best-in-class operations and technology. This integrated network will service multi-channels like B2B, B2C, B2B2C, e-commerce, direct to store, dropship, returns, and more, leveraging asset-based, asset-light, and non-asset models.

The Opportunity:

The Process & Program Controls Manager is a critical member of the Sales & Operations Planning team, supporting all Maersk Ground Freight products. This role ensures a strong balance between achieving commercial targets and delivering operationally viable solutions, with a core focus on governance, control design, and opportunity management from lead to agreement. This role leads the design and implementation of business controls that ensure we "sell what we can deliver." It drives the effectiveness of the Opportunity Management Evaluation Board (OMEB) by overseeing structure, compliance, and process efficiency. The Process & Program Controls Manager provides visibility into compliance and performance metrics, using these insights to guide continuous improvement initiatives and enhance key performance indicators. In addition to governance, the role also plays a key part in enabling internal alignment by translating commercial needs into system and process requirements, ensuring functional teams have the tools and data needed to execute effectively. The manager also leads the demand forecasting process to support prioritization and planning within our tech and operations teams. This role requires strong cross-functional collaboration with regional product owners, global stakeholders, and customers to align sales strategies with operational capabilities, ensuring scalable and sustainable growth across the Ground Freight portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the Pre-Sale Opportunity Governance

  • Manage the lead to agreement (pre-sale) governance of MGF opportunities by ensuring we sell what we can deliver from the perspective of the products, platforms and processes.

  • Measure and provide visibility of OMEB compliance, performance, and Lead to Agreement KPIs to Regional and Global stakeholders. Collaborate with functions to drive/lead initiatives that improve KPIs

  • Measure the success of the implementations (accuracy and speed) based on controls within lead to agreement, identifying improvement actions.

  • Collaborate and support our Regional & Global stakeholders within the LtA agreement process and engage with our customers

  • Oversee the MGF opportunity pipeline and support with insights in the qualification of opportunities through each stage/gate.

  • Support Global platform roadmap by sharing insights from the opportunities across regions and anticipating new requirements.

  • Partner with Regional teams, Global MGF functions, and implementation managers to keep track of the upcoming customer opportunities, provide advisory and lead resolution of issues.

Drive the OMEB structure & efficiency

  • Create, design, adapt, implement OMEB controls to cover all business requirements around product, process, platforms, collaborating with the Regions & Global owners to define and agree on these controls.

  • Collaborate with the LtA (Lead to Agreement) Functional Product Owners on changes of the OMEB structure, rollout of OMEB for new products, and creation of reports to support the business.

  • Act as the ambassador of OMEB by educating the Regions and Functions about the processes, purpose, outcomes from it (supported by Sales Excellence and LtA teams)

  • Effective stakeholder management across organizational levels.

  • Customer-centric mindset and extensive experience in shipping, forwarding, or logistics.

  • Ability to work unsupervised and influence decision-makers in a matrix organization.

  • Proven track record of delivery and navigating complex operational and commercial challenges.

  • Strong Project Management skills, essential for effective execution.

  • Proven experience in managing large-scale projects with multiple dependencies, risks, and stakeholders.

  • A holistic mindset, with the ability to focus on critical details that drive progress.

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to proactively identify risks and opportunities.

  • A collaborative, opinionated, and structured approach to problem-solving

Education & Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in logistics including international supply chain management and forwarding services.

  • Proven experience in project management on implementations.

  • PMP, ACP-PMI certification or equivalent preferred.

  • Prior experience in dealing with new supply chain solutions.

  • Prior commercial experience in engaging with strategic clients.

  • 2-5 years of managing mid/ large-scale implementation projects with multiple transportation modes.

  • Solid supply chain operations background

Pay Range:

$100k - $110k annually

*The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
