The Senior Project Manager role will help to lead and guide the successful delivery of large projects within the Product Development (PD) portfolio. This role will be primarily focused on our Global Product Development organization and will report to the Portfolio Manager, Strategic Execution & Delivery within Global Product Development. The Senior Project Manager will manage cross-functional teams, made up of business and digital resources, to deliver transformation initiatives that will bring significant business value to Product Development at Molex.

Our Team The Senior Project Manager will be a part of the Global Product Development Digital Capabilities team. This team helps enable & deliver the Global PD strategic portfolio, Digital PLM strategy, PLM Technologies, Business Readiness, and Business Architecture. Our team is part of the broader Global Product Development organization, which represents Molex engineering and product lifecycle management capabilities at large.

What You Will Do

Project Leadership

* Lead and manage the end-to-end project lifecycle, including initiating, planning, execution, monitoring, and closing of projects within the PD project portfolio.

* In collaboration with stakeholders, develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements.

* Ensure alignment of project objectives with organizational goals and strategies.

* Utilize project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall as appropriate.

* Conduct regular project status meetings and update stakeholders on progress.

Stakeholder Management:

* Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including senior management, vendors, team members, business partners and vendors.

* Prepare and deliver regular project status reports, presentations, and updates to stakeholders.

* Manage stakeholder expectations and resolve conflicts as they arise.

* Ensure all stakeholders are engaged and informed throughout the project lifecycle.

Team Leadership:

* Lead and mentor project teams, providing guidance and support to team members.

* Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.

* Encourage team members to develop their skills and pursue professional growth opportunities.

* Promote a culture of accountability, transparency, and excellence within the team

Resource Management:

* Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.

* Optimize resource utilization to achieve project goals.

* Coordinate and allocate resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials.

* Manage vendor relationships and ensure timely delivery of external resources.

* Monitor and control project budgets, ensuring financial performance aligns with project plans.

Risk Management:

* Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues.

* Monitor and control project risks throughout the project lifecycle.

* Conduct risk assessments and develop contingency plans to address potential issues.

* Ensure all team members are aware of risks and their roles in mitigating them.

Performance Monitoring:

* Track project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.

* Monitor project progress and ensure milestones and deliverables are met.

* Analyze project data and metrics to identify areas for improvement.

* Implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure project success.

* Conduct regular project reviews and post-implementation evaluations.

Change Management:

* In collaboration with OCM team members, facilitate change management processes to ensure smooth transitions and adoption of new processes and technologies.

* Communicate changes effectively to all stakeholders and manage resistance to change and scope creep.

* Ensure changes are documented and integrated into project plans.

* Provide support to team members and stakeholders during transitions.

Knowledge Processes

* Collaborate with the PD portfolio team and key stakeholders to identify opportunities for project management process improvements and help implement best practices to enhance project delivery.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • 5+ years of experience managing complex enterprise digital transformation projects.
  • Experience managing and motivating project teams, including progress achieving project delivery processes and excellence.
  • Experience with project management methodologies, such as Waterfall, Agile, or Lean.
  • Project financial acumen and experience defining project budgets, forecasts, and reporting.
  • Experience working within a large program or PMO structure.
  • Experience collaborating with global or distributed teams across multiple time zones.
  • Proven ability to build partnerships and influence others without formal authority.
  • Experience in the use of Project Management tools. (MS Project, Kanban Boards, Jira, etc.)
  • Ability to participate, as needed, in calls during off hours to accommodate global teams.
  • Ability to travel domestically (predominantly Molex HQ in Lisle IL) or globally (10-25% travel).

What Will Put You Ahead

  • 7+ years of experience managing complex enterprise digital transformation projects
  • Project management certification such as Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or similar.
  • Experience in the ServiceNow platform, specifically Strategic Portfolio Management.
  • Experience with large digital transformation initiatives involving product lifecycle management, manufacturing, supply chain, or enterprise applications.

For this role, we anticipate paying $120K - $160K annually. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
