Nokia is seeking a Digital Pre-Distortion (DPD) engineer to join the DPD team located in our Dallas R&D center. The responsibilities include a subset of the following: DPD algorithm Push the frontier of modeling accuracy at full rated power and widest bandwidth Address the challenges of dynamic power amplifier (PA) behavior under dynamic signal excitations HW development Serve as the interface between the DPD team and the HW design team Analyze each radio product to choose the appropriate DPD engine Work with radio HW design team to ensure the HW loop (including DFE, AFE, lower power TX, PA and the feedback path) meets the requirements of DPD. Provide timely feedback to the DPD team Participate in troubleshooting sessions to solve various problems found throughout the entire radio lifecycle DPD SW Develop a comprehensive understanding of Digital Front-End (DFE) architecture and configuration to effectively implement the DPD design. Implement production-grade DPD SW running on the radio HW DPD testing and automation Test radios for DPD and HW robustness under dynamic conditions Verify DPD performance under static signal conditions The candidate should possess a subset of the following skills: Modeling of nonlinear systems Graduate level digital signal processing Numerical linear algebra RF power amplifier RF circuit and systems Modern wireless communication systems 3GPP and FCC standards FPGA or ASIC Matlab, Python, C++ Git Data analysis and visualization Come create the technology that helps the world act together Nokia is committed to innovation and technology leadership across mobile, fixed and cloud networks.
