Administrative Fellow

Position Highlights:

  • Full Time/Part Time: Full time
  • Hours: Monday-Friday, 7am - 7:30pm
  • Required Travel: Yes, between sites
    • Access to reliable transportation is strongly recommended due to required travel between multiple system sites within the same day

Brief Overview:

Endeavor Health's Administrative Fellowship Program is a one-year, project-based initiative designed to immerse fellows in healthcare administration and leadership. Throughout the fellowship, fellows support strategic and operational initiatives, developing skills necessary to drive innovation and enhance efficiency in patient care. The purpose of this job is to serve as the fellow reporting to the President and CEO, Evanston Hospital, Endeavor Health or his designee. This program is designed to ensure practical experience in all facets of healthcare management for the fellow. The fellow will work closely with senior management on special projects in support of strategic initiatives and our common mission. The objective of this job is to allow the fellow to develop leadership skills and management skills through direct participation in management activities.

What you will do:

  • Project Management:
    • Lead and participate in various projects across the organization, focusing on areas such as operations, finance, and strategic planning. This involves planning, executing, and monitoring projects to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Leadership Development:
    • Attend executive leadership meetings and engage in enterprise-wide initiatives to develop leadership skills and gain exposure to high-level decision-making processes.
    • Attend administrative staff meetings, department head meetings, board meetings and other meetings as needed
  • Operational Analysis:
    • Assess and improve operational processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the organization
  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration:
    • Work with various departments, including finance, human resources, marketing, and information technology, to gain a comprehensive understanding of the organization's functions
  • Mentorship:
    • Receive guidance and feedback from senior leaders to support professional growth and career development.

What you will need:

  • Education: Masters Degree in Health Administrative Required
  • Experience:
  • Unique or Preferred Skills:
    • High level of self-motivation and ability to work in a quick paced environment.
    • Excellent written, oral and analytical skills.
