TITLE: Washroom Cleaner POSITION OBJECTIVE: The Washroom Operator is responsible for the cleaning tasks for the manufacturing and packaging washroom areas respectively are performed properly, and records are complete and accurate. QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 1 year of general manufacturing experience, industrial manufacturing, nutraceutical/pharmaceutical manufacturing, or related industrial manufacturing experience required.
- Previous experience in janitorial or cleaning roles, preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and equipment.
- Good communication skills.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and lift heavy objects, if required.
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Must adhere to safety guidelines and protocols.
- Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
- Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.
- Working Knowledge of cGMP's, preferred.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare 3 compartment sinks with cleaning and sanitizing agents.
- Restock washroom supplies such as hand soap, (if applicable, hand sanitizer), maintain cleaning solution dispenser, alconox, simple green and other, if needed.
- Maintain MFG and/or packaging washrooms clean and sanitized.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices and their application in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in manufacturing environments.
- Proficiency in cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfecting techniques, including the use of appropriate chemicals and equipment to ensure compliance with cGMP guidelines. Clean the washroom walls and vents, monthly.
- Clean and sanitize all process drums and/or Bulk Bags (Super Sacks).
- Tag all process drums and/or Bulk Bags (Super Sacks) with status tag and post cleaning information on cleaning logs.
- Store clean process drums and/or Bulk Bags (Super Sacks) in storage area.
- Follows established procedures including safety procedures, standard operating procedures (SOP's), cGMP, and food safety regulations.
- Daily remove garbage receptacles and place them outside to minimize the development of odors, prevent the potential to attract pests, and protect against contamination.
- The manufacturing supervisor may assign other duties, as needed
PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION:
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
- Ability to stand up 8-10 hours daily. Flexibility to work overtime, holidays, weekends, on short notice, as needed.
- Flexibility to work longer hours to meet deadlines, as needed.
- Availability to workday shift or night shift and accommodate change of shift, if needed.
