Job Description

Torch Technologies is recruiting for a Senior Test Engineer for a position at Eglin AFB, FL. The successful candidate will provide test planning and Validation and Verification (V&V) support services for the HBM Mission Planning Program within the HBM division and in compliance with DoD, AF, HB, and AFLCMC test plans, instructions, policies, and procedures. Activities will vary depending upon the current activities of the program/system, scope of the current development/sustainment cycle, and other corporate and program initiatives. The successful candidate will provide test report support services by way of the documentation of test events and shall conduct technical reviews of engineering documentation.

This position requires a highly motivated individual with test engineering experience to include, but not limited to the duties below:



  • Develop, plan, and implement strategies to analyze and evaluate test results for complex system activities.
  • Prepare, maintain, update, and review the full range of test plans and test-related (T&E strategies, requirements and objectives) procedures.
  • Prepare Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMPs), and monitor/review test events, analyses, and reports.
  • Review and analyze design documentation including engineering drawings and specifications, and apply engineering techniques/procedures to analyze and evaluate a specific problem, data, or other features of the work which are broad in scope and complexity.
  • Prepare T&E segments of acquisition documentation including specification/performance requirement compliance, conformity with mandatory guidance, and providing recommendations as necessary for improvement.
  • Support major program reviews, inspections, and conferences, test plan working group meetings, executive independent reviews, program evaluations, integrated test teams, test readiness reviews, other test related program events as well as major milestone events.
  • Support certification test activities (e.g., Joint Interoperability Test Center (JITC)), the collection of test data during rapid development and operational test events, and FCAs/PCAs.
  • Manage and support training required to execute test activities and mentor other test managers.
  • Manage and support the execution of test cases, evaluations, and demonstrations.
  • Review and analyze engineering performance, technical analysis reports, engineering performance predictions, measures of effectiveness, measures of suitability, and trade-off studies.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a professional engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited educational program and at least 12 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 5 of which must be in the DoD.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must have an active Secret security clearance.
