The Role:
This position is responsible for the development, technical configuration, and application administration of the NWN Customer Information System (CIS) and associated third-party tools. You will work closely with the IT management team, business analysts, and IT&S development teams to ensure that the CIS solution effectively supports business needs.
Day to Day:
- Develop, test, build, deploy, troubleshoot, and maintain the overall CIS solution.
- Collaborate with business analysts to gather requirements, perform gap analyses, and document functional and technical specifications for enhancements and integrations with other business applications.
- Ensure a clear understanding of requirements and provide accurate work estimates to improve the sequencing and prioritization of work.
- Conduct unit testing and participate in system and user acceptance testing to validate results, accuracy, reliability, and conformance to established standards.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain consistent application standards.
- Engage in the complete software development lifecycle using iterative methodologies.
- Monitor key metrics and system health, quickly identifying and resolving problems.
- Support the company's commitment to a culture of safe work practices.

Required
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, system analysis, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Additional experience required for level 2 position.
- Basic knowledge of applications and network design, application development, application programming interfaces (APIs), middleware, servers, and storage.
- Familiarity with Report Program Generator (RPG) development, including RPGIV, RPG ILE, RPG Free, and SQL ILE.
- Basic knowledge of DB2 and SQL databases.
- Familiarity with iSeries security and administration.
Desired
- Experience or knowledge of the natural gas or other utility industries.
- Experience or knowledge of financial systems, especially revenue, billing, and accounts receivables.
- Familiarity with iSeries web service and/or stored procedure development.
- Understanding of XML GoAnywhere and/or MQ Series.
- Knowledge of SFTP, IFS, and iSeries Navigator.
- Experience with change management software such as Remain or Turnover.
- Familiarity with SQL and advanced SQL functions.

Base salary range: $72,950.00-$100,050.00(Level 1) or $86,500.00 - $123,250.00 (Level 2) per year, depending on qualifications Annual Target Incentive: Level 1,7.5% target
Level 2, 9.5% target
Targets are calculated using eligible earnings during plan year participation. Payout, if earned, is based on company and individual performance for each plan year and may range from 0% - 200% of target. Targets are subject to change in subsequent plan years.
