Job Description

As a Security Officer - Armed Retail Patrol in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As an Armed Patrol Officer in a retail environment, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide a reassuring presence for customers and staff. This is an armed post, requiring you to carry out your duties with professionalism and integrity. You will conduct routine patrols, respond to incidents as needed, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication, reflecting our values of teamwork, reliability, and putting people first.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $15.50 / Hour

Day Time
Thur 09:00 AM - 04:15 PM
Sat 09:00 AM - 04:15 PM

Responsibilities:

    Provide customer service by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Monitor for suspicious behavior or security-related incidents and report findings according to site protocols.
  • Assist customers, employees, and visitors with questions or concerns while maintaining a visible presence.
  • Support emergency response activities and coordinate with local authorities when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have an Armed Designation as required by the position.
  • Must possess an Armed Guard Card or License as required by state or local regulations.
  • Must have Level III Armed Certification if applying for a position in Texas.
  • Must have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security experience, or possess a college degree.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
