POSITION SUMMARY:

Winter Park Resort is seeking a Senior Graphic Designer with the creative confidence, experience, and critical thinking to turn fast-paced direction into high-impact design. This role owns projects from start to finish, balancing big-picture brand thinking with hands-on execution across a wide range of formats.

You'll bring a strong understanding of visual storytelling, brand consistency, and marketing strategy to your work, collaborating across departments and channels to create assets that resonate with our guests and drive business results. From seasonal campaigns to on-site signage, advertising, and social content, you'll help shape how Winter Park shows up across guest touchpoints.

This role reports to the Senior Manager, Creative Strategy & Content and is part of a collaborative marketing team that values clarity, creativity, and impact.

Applicants should have a passion for the outdoor industry, excellent attention to detail, and strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), Figma, and other collaborative design platforms. This position will take projects from concept to completion and serve as both designer and production specialist, selecting photography, occasionally crafting copy, and problem-solving across multiple business lines and timelines.

WAGE:

The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of Winter Park Resorts' hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Winter Park Resorts' total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include many region-specific benefits.

Salary Range: $67K to $76K annually.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  • Lead the full design process from concept to delivery across print, digital, signage, social media, and advertising.
  • Develop creative that aligns with business goals, audience needs, and brand standards.
  • Select and edit photography, and occasionally write or refine supporting copy.
  • Translate feedback into action and keep projects moving with minimal oversight.
  • Collaborate across teams to deliver effective, on-brand assets that enhance the guest experience.
  • Ensure all assets meet platform, performance, and production requirements.
  • Prepare final files and manage handoffs to vendors and internal partners.
  • Maintain brand consistency while identifying opportunities to evolve creative within established systems.
  • Organize and manage internal design files and asset libraries.


REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • 6+ years of progressive graphic design experience in an agency or in-house environment
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and Figma
  • Strong command of layout, typography, visual hierarchy, and brand storytelling
  • Experience preparing files for both print and digital platforms with correct specs and color profiles
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced setting
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Clear communicator, confident navigating feedback and collaborating across teams
  • Passion for the outdoors and an interest in elevating the guest experience through great design


BONUS SKILLS:
  • Familiarity with production methods, vendor coordination, or large-format printing
  • Knowledge of HTML5, motion graphics, or digital animation
  • Experience with copywriting, campaign ideation, or concept development
  • Understanding of media workflows, digital ad specs, and multi-platform content delivery

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 6 years of progressive graphic design experience required
  • Proven proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, with a portfolio showcasing work where you were the lead designer
  • Familiarity with email, word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation tools; HTML knowledge is a plus
  • Experience managing creative budgets, estimates, or production costs
  • Passion for the outdoors and enthusiasm for the mountain lifestyle

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Indoor/Outdoor: This job is primarily inside but may require some on-mountain work from time to time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to harsh and varying outside weather conditions.

Hazardous Materials/Noise: The noise level in the workplace is usually moderate.

Travel Requirements: Minimal travel required and primarily in the local area.

Hours: This position may be required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
