Security Professional - Healthcare Patrol

As a Security Professional - Healthcare Patrol in JAMAICA, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more .

As an unarmed patrol officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. Your presence and routine patrols will help to prevent unwanted activity, while your strong communication and customer service skills will support a positive experience for everyone on site. You will be part of a team that values agility, reliability, and innovation, always acting with integrity and putting people first.

Pay Rate: $19.00 - $20.00 / Hour

Responsibilities:

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related incidents.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or conditions that may impact the well-being of staff, patients, or visitors.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying identification as required, and helping to maintain a secure environment.
• Collaborate with healthcare staff and local authorities as needed during incidents or emergencies.
• Document all security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security experience is required.
• New York Security Guard Card is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A valid guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
