Security Professional - Lobby Patrol

As a Security Professional - Lobby Patrol in Gaithersburg, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries.

As a Front Desk Security Officer, you will be stationed at the main entrance, greeting visitors and assisting with access control to help to deter security-related incidents. Your responsibilities include monitoring entry and exit activity, verifying credentials, and providing excellent customer service. You will remain visible at the front desk, serving as a point of contact for guests and staff, and responding promptly to inquiries or concerns. Our team values reliability, teamwork, and integrity, and you will play a key role in fostering a welcoming and secure environment at this location.

Responsibilities:

Provide customer service to visitors and staff by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations at the front desk in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Monitor access to the location, verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering the premises.
• Maintain detailed logs and reports of daily activities and any security-related incidents observed at the front desk.
• Communicate with site management and emergency personnel when appropriate, following established protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 2 years of security experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Maryland Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• A valid guard card or security license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
