Responsibilities
This position will report to the Sr Director, Navy and Missile Defense R&D Business Unit lead and will work with other key GD4A MTSI and Government stakeholders to ensure government requirements are fully understood and MTSI capabilities across the Enterprise are mapped to these needs. Role and Responsibilities*
- Work closely with Vice Presidents of Strategic Development from AMD, Defense Services Division (DSD) and National Support Division (NSD) to drive alignment and synergy across the Missile Defense Agency, Space commands and intel organizations.
- Work closely with the four AMD Senior Director Business Unit leads to ensure alignment and synergy across the various missile defense organizations that make up the GD4A architecture.
- Establish, cultivate and leverage government relationships to support AMD growth goals in support of GD4A initiatives.
- Identify, manage and provide mitigations to MTSI growth initiatives aligned with GD4A support.
- Represent AMD GD4A equities in corporate GD4A coordination meetings.
- Coordinate and support briefings, technical interchange meetings, working groups, and scheduling meetings as required to meet MTSI GD4A alignment requirements
- Support MTSI and AMD proposal efforts tied to GD4A initiatives.
Qualifications
- BA/BS required; MS preferred
- 20+ years in a staff position supporting a complex and dynamic defense program
- Detailed understanding and experience with MDA, it organization, program structure and technical processes and procedures
- Experience and comfort engaging with senior leaders at both the Corporate and Government level
- Familiarity with DoD acquisition/systems engineering processes and technical knowledge of missile systems, system architectures, threats, and subsystems
- Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) processes
- Intermediate/Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Excellent people, organizational, management, computer, and leadership skills
- Ability to plan, coordinate, and support tasks in a fast-paced, rapidly-changing environment
- Proficiency in written and oral communication skills to independently develop technical white papers, briefings, etc., as required by the customer to communicate complex technical subjects
- Experience leading successful teams
