Position Description

ABC Companies' nine (9) world-class facilities routinely deliver service excellence and feature the latest diagnostic tools and state-of-the-art fabrication systems designed to cover a comprehensive range of transit bus, motorcoach and RV service and repair. In addition to a full line of diesel and gas commercial vehicle products ranging from vans to luxury buses, ABC is also a leader in fully electric commercial vehicles.

Job Title: Business Analyst

Reports To: Director of Planning and Data integrity

Scope: Responsible To Generate Specific and Targeted Reporting to Drive Change and Improvement in Sales and the Parts Team. Will analyze data and trends to highlight areas of concern and areas of success. Will hold routine, and non-routine, meetings to assign improvement tasks and follow up on deliverables.

Essential Duties:


  • Create, update, change data in Oracle System in support of Parts Group
  • Analyze Sales and Online Parts Store data. Generate reports by Commodity and Customer.
  • Create and maintain reports, as assigned
  • Gather and analyze data
  • Works closely with Price and Cost analyst on areas where pricing should be reviewed and proposed for change.
  • Works closely with departments within Parts on generating needed reporting.
  • Works closely with departments within Parts to document processes and write procedures.
  • Works closely with departments within Parts reduce work content through improved use of JDE and improved automation within JDE and other systems. Such projects must be approved and have a defined benefit with ROI. Tracking of project to confirm actual benefit achieved or not achieved.
  • Cross trains as much as possible.
  • Other duties as assigned



Qualifications:


  • Strong communication skills, with ability to host meetings with clear information and recommended actions.
  • Project management skills.
  • Ability to see the larger picture while having a complete grasp of the details.
  • Experience with using Oracle or other ERP system is preferred.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel required.
  • Follow through skills are essential
  • Attention to detail, a strong sense of making everything complete and correct.
  • Able to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Strong Analytical Skills
  • Report writing skills
  • Works well within a team atmosphere



Physical Demands:


  • Ability to frequently move items weighing at least 10 pounds
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time
  • Infrequently positions self and move about in the office area
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, printer, etc.
