Job Description

The primary role of the Demand Planner II is to drive and support the development of the demand (sales) forecast that rolls-up to an overall sales forecast for AFNA. This position is a key driver in creating and managing the true customer demand which provides alignment for Supply Chain and AFNA resources. This individual reports to Sr Supply Chain Manager by Business Unit. The Demand Planner II is proficient at the below responsibilities and requires occasional Management support to handle intermediate to difficult issues.

WHAT YOU GET TO DO

  • Proactively seeks data insights to improve sales forecast accuracy
  • Leads the development of the demand forecast to be used in consensus planning process
  • Demonstrates expertise in a variety of Supply Chain functions
  • Drives and leads functional team collaboration to develop a consensus plan
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing and Operations to assess the potential impact of market trends and demand drivers; Makes decisions based upon expected impact to the business and adjusts the forecast accordingly
  • Collects and analyzes past and future demand trends and makes adjustments to the forecast accordingly
  • Fully uses demand planning systems to create an effective statistical forecast
  • Proactively analyzes and communicates forecast details for assigned area, including risks, confidence and opportunities to stakeholders across AFNA
  • Provides reporting on forecast accuracy and drives continuous improvement
  • Leads workshops with cross-functional teams to determine as is/future state while challenging the organization to adopt to a more efficient standardized model
  • Provides accurate and timely demand forecast for AFNA
  • Leadership in collaboration with other functional teams to develop a consensus plan
  • Metrics on forecast accuracy
  • Proactive recommendations on forecast changes, business process improvements and operational improvements
  • Support for skill development for other Demand Planning team members
  • Deliver Service Excellence

WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management or a related field and 2-4 years of relevant experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience totaling 7+ years
  • Experience working in Supply Chain, preferably with experience in some or all of these areas: Customer Service, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Demand Planning
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong mathematical/analytical skill set
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Minimum 2 years ERP systems experience, preferably SAP
  • Demonstrated Business Process Improvement knowledge - WCOM knowledge and/or Lean Six Sigma Certification
