DevOps Architect

Cognizant's Digital Engineering practice is seeking a highly qualified DevOps Architect with 8 to 12 years of experience to join our team and developing and building high-performing, scalable enterprise applications. You will be part of a digital software team that works on high-demand applications. Our engineers have a passion for high-quality, reliable, and maintainable code. You will work side by side with product managers, designers, and clients, making decisions together to quickly deliver valuable working software to clients and their users. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Microservices Jenkins GITHUB Apigee API Management DevOps Tools DevOps Concepts DevSecOps Azure Platform Docker Container Registry API Gateway Container environment set-up DevOps Automation Azure DevOps and Terraform. Experience in the Payer domain is a plus. This is a hybrid work model with day shifts and no travel required.

Responsibilities:

* Lead the design and implementation of microservices architecture to ensure scalability and performance.

* Oversee the integration of Jenkins and GITHUB for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

* Provide expertise in Apigee API Management for efficient API lifecycle management.

* Implement and manage DevOps tools and concepts to streamline development and operations processes.

* Ensure security best practices are followed by integrating DevSecOps principles into the development lifecycle.

* Utilize the Azure Platform to deploy and manage cloud-based applications and services.

* Set up and manage Docker containers and Container Registry for efficient application deployment.

* Configure and manage API Gateway for secure and scalable API interactions.

* Establish and maintain container environments to support development and production workloads.

* Drive automation initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.

* Utilize Azure DevOps for project management source control and CI/CD pipelines.

* Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform to manage and provision cloud resources.

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business goals and objectives.

Qualifications:

* Possess a strong understanding of microservices architecture and its implementation.

* Demonstrate proficiency in Jenkins and GITHUB for CI/CD pipeline management.

* Have hands-on experience with Apigee API Management for API lifecycle management.

* Show expertise in DevOps tools and concepts to streamline development and operations.

* Integrate DevSecOps principles to ensure security best practices are followed.

* Utilize the Azure Platform for deploying and managing cloud-based applications.

* Manage Docker containers and Container Registry for efficient application deployment.

* Configure and manage API Gateway for secure and scalable API interactions.

* Establish and maintain container environments for development and production workloads.

* Drive automation initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.

* Utilize Azure DevOps for project management source control and CI/CD pipelines.

* Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform to manage and provision cloud resources.

Certifications Required:

Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert Certified Jenkins Engineer (CJE)

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $81,337- $ 141,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
