RSM's National Healthcare Consulting practice is searching for an Epic Senior Associate who will participate in all aspects of the systems implementation life cycle related to the integration healthcare Information Technology applications. This work will include managing the customer requirements, system configuration, testing, training and go-live support activities. In addition, this role will support strategic Information Technology projects such as Epic optimizations, implementations and strategic services. The candidate will be part of a multi-disciplined project team and will work collaboratively with both fellow consulting and client team members.

As a member of the RSM's National Epic Healthcare consulting practice, you will join professionals with a broad knowledge of the Healthcare industry including revenue cycle management, clinical integration, interoperability, third-party integration, operational efficiencies and system optimization and maintenance. .

The Healthcare Systems Epic Senior Associate will also have a basic understanding Epic lifecycle process within the healthcare industry. As a key contributor he/she will support the building of a world class healthcare practice through listening to client needs, proposal development and presentation of solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Delivery of mid to large sized healthcare technology projects with healthcare providers, payers, and related organizations

  • Responsible for the design, build, implementation, optimization and support of assigned Epic application work

  • Requirement of deep understanding of Epic software, healthcare workflows and project leadership

  • Contribute to stakeholder communication pathways seeking to translate clinical and business requirements into technical solutions

  • Seek to enhance Epic system excellence and patient care outcomes

  • Lead the planning, analysis, design and implementation of Epic modules

  • Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) and primary contact for the client

  • Work to troubleshoot complex system issues and perform root cause analysis

  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation for client and firm delivery

  • Mentor associates, and provide guidance on Epic standards and protocols

  • Work with and coordinate cross-functional projects with client clinical, business teams

  • Coordination of internal resources, third parties, vendors, and client representatives for the execution of projects

  • Project management over delivery in accordance with client expectations

  • Responsibility for projects to be delivered on-time, within scope and within budget

  • Managing expectations of senior client leadership, and management of risks and issues to obtain buy in and support where needed.

  • Support the definition of project scope and objectives, involving relevant stakeholders and evaluating technical feasibility

  • Develop detailed project plans, monitor, track and report progress

  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques

  • Report and escalate to management as needed

  • Work with Epic RSM director to develop practice collateral, build the practice and serve as a subject matter expert

  • Contribute to the Epic practice mentor program

  • Travel as needed (25-50%)

Basic Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree

  • Experience: 3+ years of experience working with Epic systems in a healthcare environment

  • Commitment: Ongoing professional development and learning

  • Teamwork: Willingness to work alongside team and work to support other

Preferred Skills:

  • Proven ability to lead small teams and manage multiple priorities

  • Strong understanding of healthcare operations and workflows

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

  • Project management experience is a plus

  • Experience with multiple Epic modules or cross-functional integrations

  • Certification: Active Epic certification

At RSM, an employee's pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Compensation Range: $78,600 - $148,500

Individualsselected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
