Description

The Director of Government Programs will oversee and manage all aspects of driving Phlow's government deliverables, including program execution, coordinating functionality, and helping to drive new government business. This role requires strategic leadership, strong project execution skills, cross-functional collaboration capabilities, and deep knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing and government contracting. The Director of Government Programs will also help translate government deliverables into commercial opportunities. While this position does not have direct reports, the Director of Government Programs will drive execution by coordinating cross-functional teams, ensuring contract compliance, and delivering results.

Requirements

  • Program Execution: Develop and implement strategies to expand our presence in government markets, including federal, state, and local agencies. Drive execution of government contracts by coordinating cross-functional efforts, ensuring milestones and deliverables are met.
  • Coordination: Serve as a primary point of contact for government agencies, ensuring strong relationships and contract compliance. Coordinate functionality across various departments, including operations, finance, government, science and regulatory functions with a primary focus on executing government manufacturing deliverables for the company.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new government business opportunities. Translate government deliverables into commercial opportunities to enhance the company's market presence.
  • Compliance: Work with procurement team to ensure all government programs adhere to relevant laws, regulations, and company policies, including FAR and DFAR.
  • Financial Management: Work with finance team to oversee execution of government programs, ensuring profitability and alignment with company financial goals.
  • Reporting: Present status updates, risks, and mitigation strategies to executive leadership, providing clear trade-offs and recommendations.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing and inside a company with government customers. General knowledge of FAR and DFAR is essential.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing, and government procurement and acquisitions. Excellent project management and execution skills. Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive program success.

Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, CFCM) preferred.

Additional Information:

This role requires strategic leadership and the ability to manage complex government contracts.

The General Manager/Program Manager will work closely with various departments to ensure program success and compliance.
