Senior Security Systems Ops Analyst

As a Security Systems Engineer at Epicor, you will lead and implement security initiatives across our Azure cloud infrastructure. This senior-level position requires a deep understanding of cloud security principles, automation, attention to detail, and modern DevSecOps practices. You will ensure compliance with industry standards, mitigate vulnerabilities, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed security into DevOps pipelines and cloud-native applications.

What you will be doing:

  • Working with vulnerability management programs, including assessment, prioritization, and remediation across Windows and Linux environments.
  • Developing and maintaining security automation using PowerShell and Python to enhance operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
  • Utilizing SIEM solutions like Kenna, Azure Advisor, Sentinel, etc., for threat detection, incident response, and security monitoring.
  • Implementing secure network configurations, focusing on both network and web protocols.
  • Conducting security assessments and providing recommendations for improving cloud security posture.
  • Developing custom analytics rules and playbooks for automated threat mitigation.
  • Creating scripts (PowerShell/Python) to automate security tasks (e.g., log analysis, policy enforcement, incident response).

What you will likely bring:

  • 7+ years in a security-related position, with 3+ years focused on Cloud (Azure recommended).
  • Proficiency in PowerShell/Python for automation.
  • Hands-on experience with SIEM (Azure Sentinel, Splunk, and others) and vulnerability scanners.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux/Windows security, network protocols, and web app security (OWASP Top 10).
  • Experience securing Kubernetes (AKS) and containerized environments.
  • Advanced knowledge of PowerShell and Python for security automation and tooling.
  • Demonstrated expertise in vulnerability management across Linux and Windows environments.
  • Deep understanding of network security, protocols, and web application security.
  • Practical experience with DevSecOps practices and securing CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong experience working in diverse, multicultural teams and mentoring others.

What could set you apart:

  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks (CIS, ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, MCSB).
  • Recommended certifications: Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Associate (SC-200/SC-300), CompTIA Security+ (Foundational).
  • Experience with Azure (specifically Azure App Services, Azure SQL, Azure DevOps).
  • PowerShell scripting expertise.
  • Experience with monitoring, maintaining, and patching server operations.
  • AWS experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Cosmo DB (Azure tool).

Range:

Minimum: $60,000 USD Maximum: $170,000 USD
