AHEAD is looking for a level 4 Configuration Technician to join the organization. This position will be responsible for following platform documentation, processes, and production defaults to properly apply customer-specific, order-specific and hardware-specific software. Work with the newest technology from NVIDIA, Dell, Cisco and other OEMs. This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are typically Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 4:00pm; 8:00am to 5:00pm, and 9:00 am to 6:00pm. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. This job operates in a professional warehouse and production environment. Roles & Responsibilities Be able to build and configure computer servers by analyzing data sheets and system requirements provided by the engineering team. Identify and troubleshoot computer hardware. Create and configure RAID arrays. Install and configure operating systems. Flash BIOS and other firmware. Configure network switches. Work independently with minimal documentation to solve technical challenges. Provide support and assistance to other departments as needed. Qualifications Work well with others and demonstrate a great work ethic. Great attention to details. Work well under pressure. Task prioritization. Able to work independently. Maintain 5S standards. Communicate any issues to the supervisor. Identify and solve issues in a timely manner. Preferred Education & Experience Ability to read and write English, follow verbal instructions and use simple math. Two to three years of experience with server or networking equipment. One to two years of experience in a fast paced manufacturing facility. Cisco networking. Virtualization. Data center rack assembly. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Ability to lift 50+ pounds on a repetitive basis. Ability to work on feet 8+ hours a day. The compensation range indicated in this posting reflects the On-Target Earnings ("OTE") for this role, which includes a base salary and any applicable target bonus amount. This OTE range may vary based on the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
