The Plant Supervisor is responsible for all facility operations ad led by the Plant Manager. Managing safety, quality, on-time, cost initiatives with relevant KPI's. Creating a culture of continuous improvement in all aspects of the facility. SOP process management and documentation, inventory accuracy, receiving, production, shipping, pick pack as well as support functions of the Gurnee facility. A positive, forward thinker and doer challenging the norm and continuously looking for opportunities to improve. Recruits, hires, and develop staffing in line with Luxor culture.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND Responsibilities:

  • SME for all NetSuite, RFSmart, Process Weaver, Xcarrier functionality for the Gurnee location. Works closely with each cross functional area owner, i.e., Inventory Management, Transportation, OE/CS, Quality, Sourcing, Sales, and Warehousing to assure alignment between strategic direction and functional execution.
  • Maintains an OSHA certified SOP culture and execution in all aspects of Operations, with emphasis on equipment operation and training
  • Works with and supports the plant manager on managing the expenses of the facility including equipment/PM schedules, maintenance, spring/fall transition of facility..
  • Leads the warehouse team and oversees the day-to-day operations including picking, shipping, receiving, production, and inventory control to provide a standard of excellence across the facility.
  • Responsible for accuracy of the picking and shipping process, and accountable for performance, creating relevant KPI's to maintain a continuous improvement culture.
  • Monitor daily operations through key performance indicators and established metrics.
  • Works directly with transportation on all inbound/outbound international shipment coordination and efficiency
  • Responsible for quality improvement opportunities working with Quality.
  • Leads the day-to-day Safety program, ongoing training, and maintaining proper records
  • Shift and allocate resources, when necessary, cross training all associates to support an internally dynamic environment and changing priorities; able to react to change positively and provide leadership in uncertain conditions
  • Coordinate across departments to achieve operational goals.
  • Create, implement, and manage training programs to help associates learn and develop, provide opportunities for growth, and reward outstanding performance.
  • Create and maintain a positive culture where all associates can develop, learn new skills, and participate in a team environment.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Interaction with other departments in the Value Stream such as Sales, Customer Service, Purchasing, Sourcing, Transportation and Accounting to improve performance and best serve customers.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, to operate in a decentralized, multi-site environment.
  • Experience working in a Continuous Improvement/LEAN environment preferred.
  • Strong computer skills, familiar with ERP, TMS, WMS, Inventory control, Receiving.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Work History Requirements:
    • 5+ years warehouse experience
    • 3+ years Supervisory experience
  • Education Requirements:
    • High School diploma or equivalent

Computer equipment and level of software requirements:

  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Experience with ERP, WMS, TMS, Office Operations, Equipment/PM schedules and Floor Operations
  • Distribution and Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Forklift certified (OSHA)

Specific Knowledge, licenses, certifications REQUIRED:

  • OSHA 10 Hour Safety Course required
  • Lean Certification/Experience preferred

SALARY RANGE

  • $60k - 70k
