Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Senior Go-to-Market ("GTM") Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Salesforce, SQL, and sales / finance data analysis. This individual will play a pivotal role in driving sales performance through data accuracy and integrity, insights and analysis, and implementing best practices and automation improvements to future processes. The Senior GTM Analyst will collaborate closely with various departments including sales & marketing, FP&A, and revenue operations, providing support and guidance in leveraging sales data to inform strategic decisions. Key Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Review Leads, Opportunities, Quotes, and/or Order Forms for accuracy / completeness and proper hygiene for forecasting and reporting needs
- Analyze and interpret complex sales data from Salesforce and other tools to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that provide insights into sales performance, forecasting, pipeline health, and other key metrics.
- Create ad hoc reports to support sales leadership in decision-making processes.
- Sales Finance Support:
- Work with finance teams to analyze sales data for reporting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
- Interface with Order Management to ensure accuracy of booked sales opportunities for internal and external controls
- Salesforce Cleanliness:
- Assist in the upkeep and optimization of Salesforce to ensure accurate data capture and reporting.
- Collaborate with the admin team to troubleshoot issues and enhance functionality to improve the user experience for the sales team.
- Train and support sales staff in effectively using Salesforce for data collection and reporting.
- SQL Expertise:
- Utilize SQL to query and manipulate sales data, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
- Work with data engineers to build and maintain SQL databases that store sales-related information and assist in advanced analytics.
- Cross-Department Collaboration:
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and finance teams to align sales strategies and initiatives.
- Present data findings and recommendations to senior leadership and other stakeholders to drive strategic alignment.
- Best Practices Development:
- Establish and implement best practices for data management, reporting, and analysis within the sales team.
- Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and techniques to continuously improve analysis processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Data Analytics, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in sales operations or sales analysis, with a strong focus on Salesforce and SQL.
- Proficient in SQL and experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau).
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven experience in a lead or supervisory role, mentoring junior analysts.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
