Employer: FormFactor, Inc.
Position: Electrical Engineer
Duties:
- Work on probe card production design and translate customer design requirements to generate probe layout and net lists in a production probe card design environment.
- Convert customer requirements through logical electrical design rules, and internal and external physical designers for space transformers and printed circuit boards (PCBs).
- Collaborate with multiple teams including Sales, Marketing, PCB design, Substrate, and Mechanical to design and prepare customer evaluations.
- Interface with customers and vendors and provide quick turn analysis and feedback results to sales and design teams.
- Design and automate groups to define, develop, and improve design tools and design processes.
- Apply a deep understanding of product specifications, electrical circuit knowledge and internal design process, design rules, and manufacturing processes.
- Utilize custom design tools to process requirements for the design team for high quality and fast design time.
- Work with electrical design concepts, including impedance, PDN, signal integrity, and digital analog circuit design.
- Manage multiple concurrent design projects from start to finish and train new employees on the design process, including documentation and inspection.
Education Required: Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related field
Special Requirements:
Must have advanced-level coursework or project background in each of the following:
- Physical routing including signal routing, power distribution network (PDN), differential pairs, and loopbacks.
- Design and fabrication of PCB and Multi-Layer board.
- Layout software (Pads, Allegro, and AutoCAD).
- Design optimized power delivery system with power integrity concepts including IR-drop, impedance, and DC resistance.
- Signal integrity including timing, crosstalk, EMI, and antenna effects.
- Timing analysis (STA) and analyzing time-domain measurements (TDR) for optimized signal routing.
- Simulations for both power integrity and signal integrity software.
