Job Description

Successful candidates will be responsible for leading a team of approximately four developers in performing custom development, bug fix, and maintenance work along with testing in an Oracle R12 environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a technical team of four developers to support maintenance, enhancements, troubleshooting, and root fix development of bug fixes for an existing Oracle eBusiness Suite Federal Financial Applications supporting multiple operating units within one application.
  • Assist in determining root cause analysis of issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support Application Programming Interfaces (API) and/or open interfaces for Oracle Federal Financials (OFF) R12.
  • Leverage Generative AI (GenAI) and other advanced technologies to enhance automation solutions, improve operational efficiencies, quality, and accuracy, and reduce costs.
  • Recommend automations for bot design, development and implementation.
  • Recommend optimizations for business processes in financial management, project management, accounting, cost management, and reporting.
  • Recommend architectural enhancements to remain current and provide low maintenance of operations.
  • Provide and review polished, professional documentation and other written materials
  • Manage testing of development objects and migration through multiple instances in preparation for migration to production.
  • Assist in ticket resolutions and development of solutions as needed.
  • Active participation in status meetings, functional requirements review meetings, design meetings, and unit test meetings.
  • Provide status of technical work for project manager.
Qualifications
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in systems analysis/development, including a minimum of 2 years of team lead or project management responsibilities.
  • Two or more years of experience programming with PL/SQL and SQL and providing custom extension development for Oracle Federal Financials R12.
  • Must be proficient in understanding process flows and data flows and in developing automations using data from multiple systems and sources.
  • Two or more years of experience with unit testing code and testing back to user requirements.
  • Experience with Oracle R12.2 EBS Federal Financials applications.
  • Functional and technical knowledge of R12.2 Oracle EBS Financial Application modules, including Purchasing (PO), Account Payable (AP), Payments (IBY), Project Accounting (PA), General Ledger (GL), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Fixed Assets (FA).
  • Understanding of Federal or Public Sector accounting/reporting requirements and processes is a plus.
  • Must have strong client support and customer-facing skills with flexibility and responsiveness.
  • Experience with cloud-based AI solutions such as Azure AI, AWS AI, or Google AI services is a plus.
  • Familiarity with machine learning (ML), AI-driven document processing, and automation-enhancing technologies such as Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and Intelligent Document Processing (IDP).
  • Experience with Generative AI (GenAI) models, Natural Language Processing (NLP), and AI-powered automation to enhance bot capabilities and decision-making processes.
  • Must have the ability to support strong collaborative experiences working within teams.
  • Must have strong analytical, collaborative, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to take initiative and work independently with proactive problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to extend a strong commitment to the quality of solutions and services provided to the client.
  • Must hold a BS/BA degree in a relevant discipline such as MIS, IT, Computer Science, Business, Accounting, or Finance.
  • Must be a US Citizen or permanent resident (Green Card holder).
  • Work Schedule: Monday-Friday (On-Site).
  • Project site is Herndon, VA. Candidates must be local to the project site.
