What you'll do The Senior Database Software Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of the Infinite Campus database. This includes creating data and schema management strategies, developing tools for standardization and testing, mentoring team members on database best practices, and ensuring high performance and reliability of database systems. The employee will also contribute to agile development processes, create system documentation, debug and test code, and access production data following strict security guidelines. Who you are The right fit for this position is a self-motivated, experienced software engineer with a strong background in database development and performance tuning. Ideal candidates will have a degree in Computer Science or a related field and at least five years of software development experience, or eight years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree. They must be comfortable working independently, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and operating in a fast-paced, agile environment. Your skill-set Key skills include mastery of Microsoft SQL Server and related tools such as SQL Server Management Studio, Solarwinds Database Performance Analyzer, and Apex SQL. Strong SQL/T-SQL abilities, particularly in execution plan performance tuning, are essential. Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills are also important, along with a commitment to quality and attention to detail. The ability to present technical concepts clearly and work with stakeholders at all levels will be critical to success in this role.
