Job Summary

Corewell Health is seeking a Business Operations Supervisor, Clinical Shared Service - Imaging. This role supervises Clinical Shared Services business operations and the teams that support these workflows. The Business Operations Supervisor leads and oversees activities relating to staff scheduling, enterprise procedure scheduling, and charge capture and revenue reconciliation. This role supports information systems update activities within Corewell Health Hospitals Clinical Shared Services in collaboration with Finance, Supply Chain, IS, and CHMG and independent practices and providers. The role supervises and performs the collection, production, analysis, and presentation of information in support of driving business decisions. The Business Operations Supervisor participates in implementation of new initiatives and program review for ongoing activities and makes recommendations for change as needed. This role plans, coordinates, and provides appropriate training for team members.

Key Role Functions and Responsibilities

  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning and assigning work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

  • Supervises the daily activities of the teams across multiple locations. Sets performance standards and expectations for employees and monitors delegated activities. Emphasizes the professionalism of self and team members.

  • Develops necessary job aids and documentation to assist employees in the proper performance of their duties. Implements systems and processes to reduce outcome variability.

  • Oversees the daily operations of information systems utilized in areas of responsibility and assists with new software/system implementation.

  • Supports implementation of regulatory standards and requirements and response to gaps/opportunities in these areas.

  • Designs, collaborates, and supports standardization of processes and policies across Delivery System and Service Line.

  • Lead and oversee activities related to transfers of radiology Images (Imaging Only).

  • Partners with leadership and operational teams to ensure that key operational metrics are achieved.

Position Qualifications

Required

  • Associate's degree or equivalent Business, health care or other related fields. Required

  • 2 years of relevant experience Skills, knowledge and abilities Required

  • 2 years of relevant experience Supervisory or charge/lead experience Required

Preferred

  • 2 years of relevant experience in Radiology. Preferred

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent Business, health care or other related fields. Preferred
