Job Summary
Manages the execution of the MPS (Master Production Schedule) for the Value Stream; this includes management of the visual system to communication/monitor the sequence of production orders, ensuring the availability of resources (tooling, raw materials, etc.); Creating and maintaining sequenced production execution to ensure maximum capacity utilization.
Job Responsibilities
- Sequence work orders in line with the MPS for specified products and production lines, understanding all the physical and manning constraints of these lines.
- Monitor manufacturing output/performance daily against the schedule, challenging and understanding whenever performance differs from standard.
- Monitor stock cover daily in order to avoid Stock outs as well as overstocks by adjusting the execution sequence if possible or raising the issue with the Master Scheduler.
- Maximize shared manufacturing resource output/utilization while ensuring full coherence with MPS product mix volumes and required availability dates.
- Ensure that sequenced plan: is feasible and balanced; includes all scheduled downtime (holiday routine maintenance, line closures, etc.); and is supportable with available packaging, tooling, fixtures and manning.
- Monitor availability of raw material/components and escalate as required to Procurement/Master Scheduler.
- Proactively communicate/escalate to the Master Scheduler/Vale Stream management regarding potential production execution issues/constraints to trigger preventive actions against potential supply failure.
- Weekly track, challenge and report to Management team regarding Schedule Adherence and reasons for deviation.
- Ensure actual run-dates, batch quantities and changeover time data is tracked and regularly updated in systems.
- Monitor KPI's and perform Root Cause Analysis- Monitor WIP Aging
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 5 years manufacturing experience in operations or procurement related field, or 1 year of experience in production planning/scheduling with Degree in SCM or related field
- Experience and working-knowledge of manufacturing ERP systems.
- Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations and/or program requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- AS400 strongly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree highly preferred.
- Experience with MS Excel highly preferred.
- Experience in aerospace industry preferred.
- Experience working in a matrix organization preferred.
- Experience with forecast and demand planning; SIOP/MPS/MRP; master data management; inventory management; internal flow & warehousing.
- Lean training and/or experience preferred.
- APICS training/certification preferred.
- Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills, as well as oral and written communication.
Compensation Data
Compensation Range: $74,054.00 -$92,567.00
