IEM is looking for a Full Time - Senior AI/ML Software & Systems Engineer to lead the design and development of cutting-edge AI-powered software tools. Primary Location:
- Candidates can originate from anywhere in the United States, you will work remotely from home or personal office location.
Essential Functions:
- Design, develop, and deploy end-to-end machine learning pipelines-from data ingestion and feature engineering to model training and production integration.
- Build robust, production-grade software tools incorporating artificial intelligence and machine learning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (data scientists, software engineers, product managers) to translate business challenges into innovative technical solutions.
- Mentor and guide team members, ensuring adherence to best practices in software engineering, data science, and ML.
- Stay current with the latest advancements in machine learning and AI, driving continuous improvement in our tech stack and methodologies.
- Provide technical leadership in code reviews, design discussions, and architecture planning, ensuring high quality and efficiency in software delivery.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Advanced degree (MS or Ph.D.) in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Fifteen (15) years of industry experience in software engineering, data science, and machine learning.
- Proven track record of developing and deploying scalable AI/ML solutions in production environments.
- Expertise in multiple programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C/C++) and familiarity with a wide range of tech stacks.
- Deep understanding of ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar, along with experience in data processing frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark, Hadoop) and platforms (e.g. Databricks, Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, etc.).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated leadership in guiding multidisciplinary teams and projects.
- A passion for continuous learning and innovation in the rapidly evolving field of AI.
- Excellent organizational skills and a proactive approach to overcoming technical challenges.
Additional Location and Travel Information:
- Office Locations: Office locations are often either owned by the client we work with or by IEM. All candidates are expected to follow any rules and regulations of the office in which they are required to work for that project.
- Remote Work: All remote work environments require the ability to maintain minimum Internet speeds of 25 Mbps upload and 3 Mbps download, as well as a ping rate of 100 ms or less during working hours, regardless of the type and number of devices using your Internet connection. You must also have account privileges and access to your Internet service provider account during working hours for the purposes of maintaining the Internet connection, if needed.
