Salary Range: $185,00 to $220,000
Job Summary:

The Region Controller will report directly to the Director FP&A and will provide the leadership and direction for managing the operations financial position, financial interpretation, assets, procurement activity, and internal controls. Directs the development of annual operating plans, departmental budgets, monthly/quarterly forecasts, cost reduction initiatives / recommendations and profitability. Partners with the General Manager to develop long-term strategic direction for manufacturing plants, including investment and when applicable, divestment.

Required Education/Experience:

  • 10 years or more of experience leading the financial responsibility of an operating unit.
  • Minimum of a BS Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 6 years or more progressive experience in a key leadership/management role at a manufacturing facility.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • System Experience Preferred: Oracle, SAP, Hyperion, full ERP capabilities.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities.
  • Able to communicate verbally and in writing effectively with managers, supervisors, peers, and subordinates.
  • Fluency in English.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Successfully oversees Monthly Closing cycles for multiple plants to properly reflect the financial position of the Plant - Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Capital Base and Cash from Operations.
  • Provide financial leadership and support/guidance to all Plant Controllers and Region General Manager.
  • Directs the Planning, Forecasting and Budgeting processes of the region.
  • Drive process improvement, standardization and cost optimization.
  • Monitor the financial policies, practices, and procedures of the operation.
  • Ensures the necessary Internal Controls (and compensating controls) to safeguard the Company's Assets and adheres to Hydro Financial Management Policies.
  • Directs the activities and provides leadership to the Procurement employees of the operation, ensuring all Hydro Values are inherent in daily performance of responsibilities.
  • Provide financial and manufacturing analysis of both a recurring and ad-hoc nature to Management outside of the operations.
  • Manage large capital spending requests, including calculating payback and developing sound business cases to present to management requesting capital funds.
  • 50% travel required on average.
