Job Summary

Responsible for supporting improved manufacturing product delivery and customer satisfaction through implementation of, and revisions to, James Avery's quality management system. Evaluate established quality practices, standards and testing protocols, and suggest and implement improvements to ensure product safety, quality, and reliability. Create necessary documentation for manufacturing quality audits, conduct audits and provide reports. Collaborate with plant management, manufacturing engineering, product development, design, and supply chain on finding a solution and implementing corrective actions. Evaluate quality related customer returns, initiate inventory checks, coordinate inspection efforts, communicate findings to teams, and provide periodic updates to leadership.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING



  • Ensure products adhere to company and industry quality standards.
  • Work with all functions to create or revise standards where appropriate.
  • Develop inspection methods to analyze product quality for vendor and in-house made items.
  • Work together with relevant teams and departments to maintain product quality.
  • Brainstorm ideas to create solutions to identified quality inconsistencies.
  • Audit manufacturing processes and practices and provide constructive feedbacks.
  • Identify and verify quality escapes and collaborate on solutions.
  • Collaborate on development and implementation of quality metrics for plants.
  • Evaluate customer returns related to safety, quality, and reliability.
  • Initiate and coordinate inspection efforts related to quality inquiries.
  • Document results and findings after inspections are carried out.
  • Manage and improve quality system and provide periodic updates.
  • Work proactively on continuous improvements of product quality and quality system.



WHAT YOU WILL NEED



  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering discipline.
  • 3 years experience in Quality Support or similar role.
  • 3 years hands-on experience with Quality Management Systems.
  • 3 years experience in project management.
  • Experience in statistical analysis.
  • In-depth knowledge of new product launch processes.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing procedures and processes.
  • Great attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Advanced computer and Microsoft Office Suite skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours when business need requires.
  • Ability to travel to other work locations as needed.
  • Ability to pass a background check as well as an alcohol, controlled substance, and illegal drug screen and Motor Vehicle Record that meets Company standards before beginning regular employment.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification
