Why Bally's:

Bally's Corporation is a global casino-entertainment company with a growing omni-channel presence, currently owning and managing 15 casinos across 10 states, a golf course in New York, a horse racetrack in Colorado, and having access to OSB licenses in 18 states. The recent acquisition of Aspers Casino in Newcastle, UK, further expands its international footprint and enhances its diverse entertainment offerings. It also owns Bally's Interactive International, formerly Gamesys Group, a leading, global, interactive gaming operator, Bally Bet, a first-in-class sports betting platform, and Bally Casino, a growing iCasino platform.

With 10,600 employees, the Company's casino operations include approximately 15,300 slot machines, 580 table games, and 3,800 hotel rooms. Bally's also has rights to developable land in Las Vegas post the closure of the Tropicana.

Upon completion of the announced merger with The Queen Casino & Entertainment Inc. ("Queen"), the above portfolio is expected to be supplemented with four additional casinos across three states, one of which will be an additional state that expands Bally's jurisdiction of operations to include the state of Iowa. Queen will also add over 900 employees, and operations that currently include approximately 2,400 slot machines, 50 table games, and 150 hotel rooms to the Bally's portfolio. Bally's will also become the successor of Queen's significant economic stake in a global lottery management and services business through its investment in Intralot S.A. (ATSE: INLOT).

The Role:

As an intern, you'll embark on an exciting journey through various departments, where you'll acquire valuable industry-specific skills and knowledge that will set you apart. This dynamic experience will not only enhance your professional expertise but also ignite your passion for your chosen field.

Responsibilities:



  • Assist in planning, organizing, and staffing community events, job fairs, and local activations in neighborhoods across Chicago.
  • Help build and maintain relationships with community organizations, nonprofits, and local leaders.
  • Provide logistical support for internal and external events, including setup, registration, materials, and guest interaction.
  • Represent Bally's Chicago professionally at community engagement functions.
  • Research and identify new partnership opportunities with local schools, job training programs, and civic organizations.
  • Maintain a database of current and prospective community partners.
  • Support the HR and recruiting teams in promoting job opportunities in underrepresented areas.
  • Attend ward-based meetings or local hiring events to connect with residents and share employment resources
  • Help coordinate employee volunteer activities and track participation.
  • Assist in recognizing team members involved in community service efforts
  • Work closely with departments such as HR, Marketing, and Security to align messaging and ensure smooth execution of community programs


Qualifications:



  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Illinois Gaming Board
  • Must be a college Junior/Senior or Graduate student from an accredited four-year university, preferably working toward a Human Resources Degree or related field, with sufficient courses in Community Outreach related classes.
  • Must have strong attention to detail
  • Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be proficient in the entire Microsoft Suite and be able to learn other software programs easily
  • Experience in the UKG platform is strongly preferred


Physical Demands & Work Environment:



  • Regularly required to see, talk, hear, walk, sit, and stand.
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers and employees. Ability to communicate one-on-one and to groups to explain policies and procedures.
  • Ability to effectively present information and/or a convincing argument to executives
  • Frequently required to use hands to handle, feel, and reach
  • Occasionally required to stoop
  • Occasionally lift and or move up to 30 pounds
  • The work environment contains bright lights, loud noise, and stressful situations.
  • Target Salary: $18.00-$25.00/hr
